Announcing:
New Corporate Sponsor Recognition Program!
Your firm's logo will be featured on the MEP 2040 website and during our quarterly forums at these sponsorship levels:
Cast Iron: $1,000
Carbon Steel: $2,500
Stainless Steel: $5,000
Copper: $10,000
Brass: $25,000
We need your support to accomplish these key initiatives in 2025:
Promote the Beginner’s Guide to MEP Embodied Carbon: Provide accessible knowledge and methodologies for firms beginning their embodied/whole life carbon reduction journey.
Expand the Whole Life Carbon Pilot Project: Launched in February 2025, the Whole Life Carbon Pilot has engaged 35 firms in conducting whole life carbon assessments of MEP systems across 40 projects. We’ll expand the study by increasing the sample size and incorporating a broader range of buildings.
Develop Industry Benchmarks Including MEP Systems: Drawing from the Whole Life Carbon Pilot, MEP 2040 will support the creation of meaningful benchmark values that account for factors such as project typologies, climate zones, building heights, energy source emissions, material selections (including refrigerant), and alternative system options.
Advance Embodied Carbon Harmonization and Optimization with Key Partners: MEP 2040 team members actively contribute to the Embodied Carbon Harmonization and Optimization (ECHO) Project, where we are currently refining data schemas and applying them in reporting processes to standardize embodied carbon reporting across the region
Integrate MEP in Existing LCA Tools: At present, there is a single tool that integrates MEP carbon data at-scale. To ensure comprehensive assessment capability and achieve whole life carbon reduction, MEP knowledge and data must be integrated into different LCA platforms.
